Domaine Petitot is a small domaine based in Corgoloin, the last (or first) village of the Cotes de Nuits. Herve Petitot is the current head of the domaine, which owns 9.20 hectares in Corgoloin, Ladoix and Nuits-Saint-Georges. Les Monts de Boncourt is a lieu-dit in Corgoloin near the border with Comblanchien. Domaine Petitot began bottling this cuvee in 2002 from a plot of 1.64 hectares. The wine, which saw twelve months in barrel, was mineral and bright. The fruit flavors were dark and slightly tart, but the overall impression was refreshing. Corgoloin is renowned for its quarries and this wine certainly had a strong presence of stones, or maybe it is just my imagination.
